Hybrid work: Why work from home and office?

Returning to the office is becoming a reality, but many employees are asking for a balance between working at the office and working from home, i.e. hybrid working. This model can be a great source of value in the current climate of forming a new office culture. If you are thinking of implementing it, in this article we share with you some of the conclusions we have reached in our collaboration with different teams:

Benefits of working from home 🏠 😌

For many, working from home meant a balance between personal and professional life. We all had the chance to look at our spaces differently, think about them in ways that we may not have done in a long while, and adapt them to new working conditions.

Almost two years after having to resort to the home office, new ways of collaborating are naturally arising. While we discovered the benefits of working from home and that we can be productive from home, the truth is that we also learned to value (and sometimes even miss) the office.

Why do we miss being in the office? 🥰 🖥

Specific workspace. 🤓

Having a specific workspace increases productivity. But not only that - being able to connect with the people you work with every day generates positive results: better accomplishment of goals, efficient communication, and constructive relationships unhindered by misunderstandings from chats or videoconferences.

Less sedentary. 🏃🏻 🏃🏻

From your bedroom to your desk, from your desk to your dining room, then to your desk, then to your bed. During the pandemic Fitbit* reported a decrease of up to 38% in the number of steps its users took. Sedentary lifestyles cause both physical and mental health problems in the long run. Returning to work from the office directly involves more steps, more walking outdoors, and more sunshine and vitamin D generation, among other things that positively impact your health.

Healthy routines. ⏰

For many, moving back to the office allows for more organized schedules, better time management, and defined times for home and professional activities.

More social life.🙋🏻🏻🏻

You'll be able to see your colleagues again and finally get to know those you've only met on a screen. Team building and team results are largely the result of team members' relationships.

Less stress. 🧘🏻 🧘🏻

Getting out of the house and breathing fresh air into your everyday surroundings aids mental health. Some research shows that fleeting connections with strangers are important for releasing stress and increasing happiness.
